Rob Kent Long is the named principal in the Metropolitan Atlanta-based Long Law Group, LLC, Attorneys at Law. He served as adjunct professor of Family Law at John Marshall Law School in Atlanta as well as lectured on the subject of enforceability of Pre-Nuptial Agreements at Strayer University. He is a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia, the Family Law Section of American Bar Association, Cascade United Methodist Church and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Attorney Long also commits time to community service. He has dedicated his professional and personal skills to such projects as the Sandtown Park Youth Soccer, Football and Basketball Programs as well as other projects and speaking engagements.

The East Atlanta native was educated in the Atlanta Public Schools and is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and a magna cum laude graduate of Jackson State University. Attorney Long’s legal career began with the Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Competition Litigation Division in Washington, D.C. Upon returning home to Atlanta the self-styled community servant began his private practice of law forming what would eventually become The Long Law Group, LLC, Attorneys at Law.

Attorney Denorris A. Heard is the named principal in the Decatur, GA based D.A. Heard Law Group and serves as Of Counsel to LLG providing the firm with invaluable insight into his extensive knowledge of the area of Criminal Law as it affects the firm’s ongoing cases. Attorney Heard has been practicing law for over 15 years in the areas of Personal Injury, Criminal Law, and Civil Litigation. He is licensed to practice law in the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, Northern District Court of Georgia, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has been first chair in over 100 bench and jury trials. He has represented over 1, 500 people over the years. He serves as Judge Pro Tem in the Juvenile Court of Dekalb County. He is a faculty member of Strayer University teaching classes in Business Law, Criminal Law, Education Law, Labor Law, and Ethics. Previously, he also serves as a Campus Dean at Strayer University leading a campus of over 600 students and revenues exceeding 8 million dollars yearly.

He enhances his professional skills through many professional organizations. He has served as President of the Gwinnett County Minority Bar Association. He was also involved in the The Pro Bono Project of the State Bar of Georgia and the Georgia Indigent Defense Council.

In his commitment to community service, he serves as a member of the Board of Visitors for Presbyterian College. He remains active in youth sports as a board member and commissioner in Tucker Youth Football Association. He is an active member in the Omega Psi Phi, Inc. Fraternity, Inc. In addition, he is involved in High School Mock Trial teams and competition.

Attorney Heard is a native of Tucker, Georgia. He was educated in the Dekalb County Public School system, and is a graduate of Presbyterian College where he lettered in football and track while receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. He furthered his education at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University where he received his Juris Doctor degree. Attorney Heard’s legal career began as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Michael C. Clark in the Gwinnett County Superior Court. Upon completion of his clerkship, Attorney Heard began his practice of law in the Atlanta-based Law Offices of DeNorrris A. Heard, which soon merged to form Long & Heard, LLC, Attorneys at Law.
